Grouped along New York and New Jersey and also known as the ‘Tri-State area’, the state of Connecticut is geographically located as the southern state of the United States. The Connecticut River, named after a large river in the United States, is one of the smallest in the area of the state of Connecticut. The first settlers in this region were mostly Dutch Europeans. First settled settlements, with memories of the history of the region can still see. Long Island Sound, New York, Massachusetts, surrounded by Rhode Island, is the state’s capital, Hartford. The Connecticut River Valley is the most populous metropolitan region with a wealth of natural beauty such as mountains, farms and coasts.
Dutch Explorer Adriaen Block was the first explorer to explore the region of Connecticut in 1613 as previously inhabited by multiple Native American tribes. Europeans used the river for the trade of fur.The state eventually became the center of power of the colonization. In the late 18th century, the state merged with the United States constitution and became one of the states.
