The most tourist attractions of the state are Horseshoe, Colorado River, Monument Valley, Petrified Forest Park, Grand Canyon, Bellemont, Saguaro National Park and Cathedral Rock and Red Rock. Especially, Cathedral Rock, Red Rock and Grand Canyon are the most popular tourist attractions. It is estimated that the Grand Canyon occurred as a result of a meteor impact about 50,000 years ago.
The region has a very active underground. Due to the fact that it is a region close to the tectonic plates and many fault lines underneath it, Arizona, which is considered as an earthquake zone, was shaken by an earthquake of 7.2 magnitude in 1887. In addition, there was a serious damage in the region which had an earthquake on 25 January 1906. In addition, in the region of 1912, 1935, 1959, there were many other shocks.
